Message from St Edward’s Governors

As Miss O’Connor and Mrs Moon prepare to leave our school at the end of this term, we would like to say a big thank to them for all their hard work and the many improvements they have made whilst leading our school. We are sure you will join with us in wishing them all the best for the future.

We would also like to extend a warm welcome to Mr Tissot, Ms Thomas and Mr Smith who will be joining us in the new school year, and thank them for the work they have been doing already, to prepare for a smooth transition. We hope you will continue to give them your full and generous support as they take over the reins of St Edward’s.

And finally, we wish you all, and your families, a safe and very happy Summer holiday. Long may the good weather last.

Headteacher’s Message

Dear Children, Parents, Carers,  Staff and Governors,

As another successful year draws to a close, it is amazing how much has been achieved by the children, staff, parents and governors. The achievements extend from the academic, to the sporting and the creative arts and St. Edward's continues to go from strength to strength.

I wish to take this moment to express my sincere thanks to the whole St. Edward’s community for making my time here so special. I am very proud to have been part of this school and to have served the community that we as a school serve. Our children are bright, enthusiastic and have a love of learning that has been a true inspiration to see. This is a credit to you as their parents and carers and to the whole staff team.

The time has come to say goodbye to Mrs Moon who has served St. Edward’s for 13 years. Many of our families know her so well and she will be sorely missed. I am sure you all join me in thanking her for her care, love and dedication to our children and school. Mrs Moon, on behalf of the whole St. Edward’s community - we wish you all the very best for a future filled with happiness and success.

We bid a fond farewell to our Year 6 children who will be starting secondary school in September.  It has been a pleasure and delight watching them develop into responsible young people.  I hope they look back at their time at St. Edward's with fondness. I am proud of them all and wish them all the best of luck in the future.  Year 6, take away with you the values you have been taught at St. Edward's and remember: 'To help one person to grow is to help to build the World'.  Please come back to visit when you can.

We also say goodbye to Miss Watts, Miss Dolan, Miss Williams, Miss Scribani and Mr Dawes.  I am sure you all join me is expressing our thanks for their hard work, dedication and invaluable contribution they have made to St. Edward’s. We wish them every success and blessing for the future!  Max, our Fit for Sport coach, is also leaving to go to a different school where he will also be in charge of PE - we wish him all the best and thank him him for all his help and care of our children.

To all our St. Edward’s families - thank you for your ongoing support not only to your children, but to the school and I wish you all the best for the future. I am leaving St. Edward’s taking many very fond memories with me. Thank you once again.

Wishing all staff, parents and children a very enjoyable and safe holiday period.  The new school year starts on Wednesday the 4th September.

Best wishes and God bless,
